TRICHARDT – It is alleged that on Saturday, August 15, at approximately 23:00, the man accidentally shot his six-year-old girl on the chest and hand. According to the police, the young girl is currently fighting for her life in hospital.
It is also alleged that the man wrestled with his wife over a firearm after the duo got involved i9n a feud.
“The noise awakened the girl, then she walked to her parents and saw them fighting. It was during that time when shots went off and two struck the girl,” said Brigadier Selvy Mohlala of the SAPS.
The police were summoned to the scene and the man was arrested hence his appearance. The suspect remains in custody, pending bail application which was scheduled at a later date.
