Liberty Life to host tournament to fight stress

Liberty Life believes that sports and recreation are key elements in managing stress which might leads to physical, emotional and social problems including financial difficulties, marital conflict, alcohol or drug abuse, and other related illnesses.

MBOMBELA- Liberty life driven by its founding principle of guiding people towards financial freedom will be hosting a Top 8 soccer and netball tournament on August 22.

The company jointly with a local non profit organization Sinempilo together with Capitec bank and other departments believes that sports and recreation are key elements in managing stress which might leads to physical, emotional and social problems including financial difficulties, marital conflict, alcohol or drug abuse, and other related illnesses.

Mr Thabo Maphisa,a Worksite Development Manager at Liberty Life says stress can lead to decreased productivity, increased sick leave, absenteeism and depression in the workplace.

“Participants are requested to bring clothing items (both new and old), food items and any monetary contribution to be donated to the centre which caters for needy people in the area . Food and soft drinks will be sold at the venue and the proceeds will be contributed to centre as well, we do this as part of liberty Life the community outreach program,” explained Maphisa.

Games will start from 08:00 until 18:00 at Nelspruit Correctional Centre (Prison) and winning teams will walk away with sport’s kit, trophies and medals. Attendees will also stand a chance of winning hampers during a lucky draws.
