MBOMBELA – Women feel shy to speak out when they are abused by their husband.
This has been revealed during the offenders women’s day celebration that was held at the correctional service.
Mpumalanga News learnt that the majority of the offenders that are at the centre end up doing bad things that landed them behind bars.
“When you are abused by your husband you reached a point where you feel that you can’t take it anymore and you end up doing bad things.
People can judge us because we are in prison and they don’t understand what we are going through,” said one of the offenders Elizabeth Sithole .
