
CAROLINA -The National K9 Deployment Unit arrested two Swazi nationals aged between 22 and 32,for dagga possession worth an estimated street value of R700 000.
The suspects were busted after police received a tip-off about a truck from Swaziland which was crossing to South Africa through the Oshoek Border post. The truck which was en-route to Johannesburg, was spotted and stopped by the police between Carolina and Wonderfontein for a search. “During the search, police discovered and seized 42 bags of compressed dagga. The suspects were then arrested and the truck was seized,” explained Brig Selvy Mohlala.
The are expected to make their first court appearance before the Carolina Magistrate’s Court soon on a charge of dealing with dagga
