Tensions high during community’s meeting

MSHOLOZI – Emotions ran high at a municipal integrated development plan (IDP) review meeting attended by residents of Phumlani, Hopeville and Msholozi on Sunday afternoon. Service delivery issues in these areas were discussed.

Explaining the importance of the gathering, Ward 14 councillor, Mr Kenneth Mkhonto said the community needed to compromise and make binding decisions on the priority of services needed in the area. This would make things easier for the Mbombela Local Municipality to know exactly which services were urgently needed by the people of this ward. “Such meetings are held annualy around this time of the year to check if the society’s priority list is still relevant for the next financial year,” he said.
