KANYAMAZANE-A 21 year-old man has been arrested in connection with the rape of a ten year old minor which happened last week Friday.

According to Kanyamazane spokesperson WO Andries Skwambane, the suspect was unknown to the girl. “The minor was playing when the suspect called her and requested that she go and buy him chips, which they ate together, and afterwards he forced himself to her and raped her at his place,”.

Skwambane added that the minor arrived home late and told her parents what the suspect had done to her. The victim was then taken to the local clinic where it was apparently confirmed that she had been raped. A rape case was then opened. The suspect will appear in court soon.
