KANYAMAZANE – The local police urges motorists to be vigilant of livestock on the main road between Karino and KaNyamazane.
According to WO Andries Skwambane, the spokesperson for Kanyamazane police, these animals are becoming a concern as they contribute to road accidents on this busy road.
“We urge drivers to be extra careful and obey the speed limit as well as all the rules of the road in an effort to try to avoid endangering themselves with the cattle,” he said. He added that the police were arranging with the stock theft unit to impound animals found wandering near the roads.
He said owners will have to pay fines to have their animals released.
