Police vehicles’ tyres flattened ahead of ATM bombing

THULAMAHASHE – Police have launched a manhunt after a group of armed men bombed a Standard Bank ATM at the township shopping complex on Tuesday morning.

According to the police the suspects started at the police station where they flattened all police vans’ tyres.

“We can confirm that the incident occurred at around 03:00 and we suspect that the police vans were tampered with so that we couldn’t be able to rush to the crime scene. By the time we managed to get there they had fled with an undisclosed amount of cash,” said the police.

No one has been arrested yet and the police have requested anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of the suspect to contact them on 013 773 9092 or 013 773 0331.
