JERUSALEM – A 20-year-old learner is wanted by the local police in connection with a shooting that took place just outside a school yard on Friday afternoon.

According to the police, the suspect shot two 18-year-old learners from Jerusalem High, one on the neck and the other on the thigh, before fleeing the scene.

“We do not know the motive for the shooting yet and can confirm that the two learners were taken to the hospital where they are being treated,” confirmed Const Naniki Nonyane.

Nonyane further urged anyone with information that might lead to the suspect’s arrest to contact Masoyi Police.
