EFF takes people back to their land – Statement

The resolution was taken together with all the land claimants who have since approached the EFF in the province to help them since the Regional Land Claim Commission has failed them.

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in Mpumalanga has taken a resolution to take all the land claimants of Mpumalanga to their land.

The resolution was taken together with all the land claimants who have since approached the EFF in the province to help them since the Regional Land Claim Commission has failed them.

The Land Claimants have lost hope and confidence in the RLCC, National Department of Rural Development and the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development because they are being send from pillar to post by the officials and they have lost patience because their claims date back from the year 2000. “Some have already been gazetted and verification and research has been made and the land has been found to be belonging to the people or restorable but nothing happened till today,” reads the statement.

The Land claimants suspect that the officials from RLCC and the politicians in the province are at the centre of the delays to give them their land back.

The EFF said the claimants also suspect that these officials work with the farmers or people who operate in the land which are mainly whites. The program has started and the following areas are targeted for occupation.
