BUSHBUCKRIDGE – Angry residents have taken to the streets to raise their grievances over “imposed councillors”.

As a result the R40 road between Shatale and Dwarsloop has been blocked with hijacked trucks since early hours of Thursday morning.

“It’s not a secret that the whole of Bushbuckridge is facing a lot of service delivery challenges and I for one understand the residents’ frustration.

I just hope nothing gets burned. One can only hope that engagements with authorities will not include vandalism of public property!” said one of the community members.

Local motorists have advised motorists to delay their trips or use alternative routes.
