PIENAAR – ANC and EFF members were fights each other and throw each other with stones at Nkomeni playground near Pienaar yesterday.
As a result roads around the area were closed with stones and burning tyres.
According a reliable source the fight started after both groups realised that they were coincidentally to use the same field for their events yesterday.
The local police spokesperson Lt Jabu Ndubane confirmed the incident. “It’s true that some of the roads were closed by ANC and EFF members as they were fighting over the use of the ground.
We learnt that ANC members wanted to use the field to a host a soccer march while the EFF also wanted to hold their gathering in the same ground.
Both parties claimed that they have booked to use the ground. No injuries were been reported but one vehicle that was passing by was damaged,” she said.
