Murder cases trouble Masoyi police

Local police have raised a grave concern over the number of murder cases they have to deal with on a weekly basis.

MASOYI – Local police have raised a grave concern over the number of murder cases they have to deal with on a weekly basis.

According to the police, a body is discovered almost every week, usually with stab or gunshot wounds.

“We are still searching for the Pump Gun Gang members whom we believe might be linked to most of the murders.

However, some murders take place after drinking sprees over the weekend,”said Const Naniki Nonyane.

She further urged community members to be their brothers’ keepers and report anything suspicious happening around the community.

“Anyone with information that might lead to the arrest of the perpetrators who take innocent people’s lives should be brought forward and we will treat it with utmost confidentiality,” said Nonyane.
