Department vows to support vulnerable groups

"We continue to prioritise the safety of women, children, old people and people who are living with disabilities,".

MBOMBELA – The department of community, safety, security and liaison vowed to continue to prioritise vulnerable groups through its crime fighting initiatives.
This was said by the acting general manager for civilian oversight, Mr Bongani Kubhayi who went further and elaborated that the department is implementing a plan that will run for the whole financial year through awareness campaigns and the provision of support to victim friendly facilities.
This publication learnt that cases of sexual assault has decreased .
“We continue to prioritise the safety of women, children, old people and people who are living with disabilities.We will also going to continue to raise awareness as a preventative measure and encourage victims to report to ensure that all perpetrators are removed from communities “said Kubhaye.
