MBOMBELA – Ligwalagwala FM is affording men in the Lowveld an opportunity to come together and talk about issues that impact them on Sunday.
The Man-to-Man seminar scheduled to take place at Casambo Exclusive Lodge on June 26 is aimed at rejuvenating male relations. Sorry ladies, there’s a strict “no female” tag for this one.
“We are calling on men to make sure they come through for this one. Not only is it going to be interesting, it will also be informative and helpful. We will be discussing men’s health, things to look out for before buying a car or property, and the importance of funeral cover and being a father in the family and society. It is not too often that you find men meeting in this fashion, hence we have decided to make it an annual event,” said Rio Mabunda, station manager for Ligwalagwala FM.
Mabunda also emphasised the need to get tickets as soon as possible as the event will only cater for 100 men.
“We will have experts to talk on the different topics, it must also be emphasised that space is limited. People are encouraged to get their tickets in time to avoid disappointment. Tickets are available at the SABC offices in the city centre at R250 each, and there’s no VIP and no tickets will be sold at the door. The deadline is Friday at 13:00. We also have a surprise guest artist on the day,” he added.
The ticket price is inclusive of breakfast before and lunch after the seminar. Ticket holders will gain access to the VIP section of the jam session to be hosted by the station after the seminar.
“Just after the interaction, we will have a chance to be treated to good music at the jam session. Tickets to that event will be sold at the gate for R30, and R150 VIP. But those that would have started with us in the morning will automatically get a VIP pass to the jam session,” he added.
