Local areas affected by power outage

MBOMBELA – Business will be disrupted in some parts of the Mbombela Local Municipality due to a power outage.
The affected areas include Kanyamazane, Tekwane and Pienaar. It was reported this morning by a radio station that residents will experience the outage until 20:00.
Spokesperson for the Mbombela Local Municipality, Mr Joseph Ngala said: “The three areas are under our municipality in terms of jurisdiction, but we do not supply them with electricity. I do not think people were notified by Eskom because we are being questioned about the power outage which makes our job difficult as we do not have information.”
Efforts to get hold of Eskom were unsuccessful as the Switchboard Operator said she does not have any answers to the cause of the outage and those working in the marketing department are not in the office.
