EFF is confident that it will take the province

The party's provincial commander in chief, Mr Collen Sedibe has vowed to win over a number of municipalities in the province.

MBOMBELA – The EFF will contest their first-ever local government election on August 3.

The party’s provincial commander in chief, Mr Collen Sedibe has vowed to win over a number of municipalities in the province.

He said they have a special interest in the province’s capital municipalities which include, Mbombela, Thaba Chweu, Thembisile Hani, Lekwa and Dipaliseng.

“The EFF is the only political party that will free our people, especially the youth, from poverty and unemployment. We are the last hope that will render and fast-track service delivery to all our communities. I am satisfied with our work so far and I am hopeful that we will take a number of municipalities and make our presence felt in many other institutions too,” said Sedibe.

“We have set ourselves a target of 70 per cent voters per ward and I can assure you we have reached this. We are ready to surprise many people and political parties. Our aim is to triple the numbers we attained in our previous general election. We are going to contest these elections to win, and not just to add up numbers,” he added.
The EFF officially launched their manifesto on April 30 and just last week, they welcomed a number of former DA members from Graskop.

“We are growing. We even receive calls from people who are from Nkomazi and other regions, wanting to join the EFF. So, this is an indication that people will vote for us,” he concluded.
