Rise FM news anchor resigns

According to reports, the seasoned anchor will be part of the EWN news team.

MBOMBELA- Rise FM’s news editor and current-affairs-show host, Nomfundo Mabalane nee Sibanyoni, is joining Gauteng-based Talk Radio 702.

Mabalane said, “It would be premature to make pronouncements on my next career move at this point. All I can say is I’ve been blessed t have accomplished all I set out to do in my career thus far, and before complacency sets in, I need to jump onto the next challenge.”

She has been in charge of Rise  FM news while anchoring the popular Rise in 60 Minutes, a current-affairs show that built a solid news and information profile for the music station.

Her departure comes just a month after her husband, Ferdinand, who launched Rise FM in 2014, left to rejoin Power FM in Johannesburg.
