Mabuza to deliver his third State of Province Address

The Premier David Mabuza will deliver his third State of Province Address during the fifth provincial Legislature tomorrow at the Government Complex Building 10.

MBOMBELA – The State of Province Address  (SOPA) is the first speech made by the premier when he officially opens the Legislature every year. This is when the premier outlines the plans and policies of the Provincial Government for the coming years.

In his speech he also outlines some of the achievements they managed to attain the previous year. This annual ceremony is attended by members of the legislature, invited dignitaries as well as members of the community.

His spokesperson, Mr Zibonele Mncwango said that the premier will be focusing on issues like the Triple Problems faced by the people of the province which is poverty, unemployment and inequality.

“Among other things, the Premier will outline his plans on how to improve quality education, agriculture and crime prevention,” said Mncwango.

There are also public viewing areas in selected communities where people are provided with live crossing of the speech through big screens.
