Simunye eager to follow the women of 1956

One of the burning issues that was raised during the Women's Day celebration was the brutal killings of women

KABOKWENI – Members of Simunye said they are determined to follow the footsteps of the fallen heroes who marched to the Union Buildings in 1956.
This was indicated during Women’s Day celebrations held at the Alliance Church yesterday.

Ms Severina Mogakane said it is time for all women, regardless of their race, to unite and address the challenges they face in society which includes being treated as sex objects, and femicide.

“If only we can unite just like our fallen heroes who left a legacy in 1956, we can overcome all the problems that are affecting us.We will be able to do that by seeking God’s guidance and protection,” she said.
