Suspects found with crocodile meat to appear in court
The suspects indicated that they were planning to sell the crocodile meat to community members
BARBERTON- Five suspects who were arrested in Verulam for hunting of protected game appeared yesterday at the local magistrate’s court. It is alleged that the suspects between the ages of 22 and 44 years were found in possession of a crocodile carcass and meat.

According to the information obtained by Mpumalanga News, there was a report on Crocodile Farm around this area about a crocodile that is missing and suspected to be killed as blood was found on the scene.Police also indicated that upon preliminary investigations, a net was used to capture the crocodile.

When they were arrested the suspects were questioned and they said they were planning to sell the crocodile meat to community members. The suspects were remanded in custody at Nelspruit prison and they are expected to appear in court next week Tuesday.
