BREAKING NEWS: Coffin assault duo sentenced

They were found guilty of assault, attempted murder, kidnapping and intimidation.

The accused number one, Willem Oosthuizen was sentenced to 11 years in prison and accused number two, Theo Jackson has been sentenced to 14 years direct imprisonment.

The convicted Coffin assault duo was sentenced in the Middleburg Magistrate’s Court today.

A video emerged of the two men forcing Victor Mlotshwa into a coffin and threatening to set it alight. It is alleged this was sparked by that they had found Mlotshwa in possession of suspected stolen copper cables‚ but these were never produced.

Witnesses including the convicted men and victim, Victor Mlotshwa were called to the stand prior to sentencing where one of the accused said he regretted not taking Mlotshwa to the police.
