KANYAMAZANE- The road between Kanyamazane and Malalane near the Crocodile Gorge is finally open. It was closed due to a cash-in-transit robbery that took place this morning.

Eight to 10 robbers managed to get away with a crewman’s firearm. According to Shaun Terblanche from J&M Security, the driver of the vehicle was assaulted with an R5 assault rifle.

The robbers blocked the N4 Road with a hijacked BMW and robbed the G4S security vehicle. They took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene using a white Jeep Cherokee with a broken mirror and a Grey bakkie.
