Eskom stops interruptions in Govan Mbeki from today

Eskom will reconsider the scheduled interruptions after the court’s ruling on the review.

Eskom has notified residents of Govan Mbeki Local Municipality of its decision not to proceed with the scheduled interruption of power supply to this municipality as from today, 21 May 2018.

The notice of interruption appeared in the media during this past week. Eskom has been interdicted by the court on Friday, pending the hearing of the review.

Eskom will reconsider the scheduled interruptions after the court’s ruling on the review. Municipal customers are encouraged to engage with their supply authorities for updated information on their municipalities’ arrears situation.
