A 37-year-old teacher accused of sexually molesting a 12-year-old learner appeared at the Volksrust Magistrate’s Court, was denied bail and remanded in custody until Monday, for further deliberation on bail.

A second learner came forth also levelling the same charge against the teacher and that matter has been referred to the Director for Public Prosecutions for a decision.

During the court proceedings, it was found out that the suspect was once charged with rape during 2016.
