Justice served for provincial transport inspector

The court found the two accused guilty and imposed an effective jail sentence of 18 months without an option of a fine and were declared unfit to possess firearms.

Yesterday, the Kanyamazane Magistrate’s Court found George Martin Hornsby and Mzwandile Thwala guilty on the case of assaulting a provincial transport inspector.

The Public Works Roads and Transport employee was assaulted on July 24, 2018 while on duty in Kanyamazane checking compliance by public transport operators on the day.

The court found the two accused guilty and imposed an effective jail sentence of 18 months without an option of a fine and were declared unfit to possess firearms.
