Omotoso trial resumes

Nigerian Pastor Timothy Omotoso and his two co-accused are back in the High Court in Port Elizabeth this morning.

The pastor, who is the leader of the Jesus Dominion International Church, and his two co-accused Zukiswa Sitho and Lusanda Solani, are facing 97 charges.

These include 63 charges in the main charge sheet, and 34 alternative charges for racketeering activities, sexual assault and rape at the church.

Last week, Cheryl Zondi took the stand to give a harrowing testimony of how Omotoso groomed and raped her since she was 14-years-old.

She has been hailed as an inspiration to millions of young women, who have broken the silence on sexual harassment.
