KNP to continue demolishing artificial dams
The Kruger National Park harbours over 40 fish species and the redundant artificial dams become a hindrance to their migration and livelihood.
The Kruger National Park (KNP) will continue with the demolition of artificial dams in Shingwedzi and Sirheni starting from June 18 until June 28.
“This process has been going on over the years to allow a free flow of fish species in the river,”says Isaac Phaahla, KNP general manager of communications and marketing.
