BREAKING: Zinhle Maditla sentenced to life
She was given four life sentences for poisoning her children in December last year.
MIDDELBURG – Tears streamed down Zinhle Maditla’s face when she heard she would spend the rest of her life in prison.
During court proceedings, Judge Sheila Mphahlele said she could not find any reasons to deviate from the prescribed minimum sentence. “I am of the view that life imprisonment for all four children is the right sentence. Effectively you are sentenced to four life terms in prison,” said Mphahlele.

When the court adjourned, her family members were emotional while Maditla immediately left the dock.
