Parents of grade R learners at Boschrand Primary School in Msholozi were disappointed on Wednesday when their children were turned away from school.

. “They told us the roofs of the mobile classrooms for the grade Rs were leaking and everything inside was wet due to the rain on Tuesday night,” said Prudence Shiba, one of the parents.

The school’s SGB chairperson, Beacon Maloka, confirmed that the roof of the grade R classroom was leaking and the learners could return on on Monday.
“The foundation of the classrooms even shift as the soil erodes bit by bit due to the rain,” he concludes.
