Themba Hospital patient rescued from jumping off building

KABOKWENI – A patient at Themba Hospital attempted suicide yesterday.
The patient was seen standing outside the window embankment holding on to the window frame threatening to kill himself. Police were called and Hawks Captain Dineo Sekgotodi responded to the scene.

Sekgotodi managed to rescue the patient after two hours and handed him over to the hospital’s psychiatrist.
The Department of Health spokesperson Dumisani Malamule referred queries to the police.
