FAKE NEWS: No Covid-19 case reported in Kanyamazane

A fake news alert has been circulating on social media of a suspected case of coronavirus allegedly reported in Kanyamazane.
It is alleged that a male who tested positive for Covid-19 residing in Tekwane South escaped from Lekazi Clinic.
The Mpumalanga Department of Health confirmed that it is fake news.
“Kanyamazane has no reported positive Covid-19 case. Neither the clinic a testing site. I would like to inform community members that spreading fake news is a criminal offense and community members should not panic and take the law into their own hands,” said MEC Sasekani Manzini.
