Police seeks missing mother of Violet Bank

The provincial police requested the public to assist them in locating 23-year-old Memory Mashele of Violet Bank, Bushbuckridge.

According to the police, Mashele apparently left home sometime between the evening of April 9 and the morning of April 10.

She had not informed her family where she was going. “Her mother, who stays with her and her three children, heard her nine-month-old grandchild crying in the bedroom, and upon checking, realised the baby’s mother, her daughter Memory, was not there. The matter was reported to the police after growing concerns regarding her disappearance,” read the media release.

Anyone with information that may help the police to locate Mashele is urged to contact Capt Evans Mashego on 082-469-2702 or to call the Crime Stop number at 08600-10111.

“Alternatively, send information via the My SAPS app. All received information will be treated as confidential and callers may opt to remain anonymous,” concluded Col Donald Mdhluli, spokesperson for the police.
