Lowveld Walkers celebrate Father’s Day, step by step

They walked from Tekwane South's soccer field to the KaMagugu Road and back.

“A father is someone you look up to no matter how tall you are.” As a way to celebrate Father’s Day, the Lowveld Walkers held an event on Saturday. The group decided to celebrate Father’s Day earlier.

They walked from Tekwane South’s soccer field to the KaMagugu Road and back. The members divided themselves into three groups for three items, a five-kilometre, 10-kilometre and 15-kilometre route.

Joseph Mashaba, the founder of Lowveld Walkers, said this was to celebrate all fathers. “When we were done with the walk, we gathered around and enjoyed a braai. Everything was prepared by the mothers.”
