Mpumalanga Idols top-three winners collaborate for new single

Mpumalanga’s Idols SA season 16 contestant Brandon Dhludhlu and the Idols winner Zama Khumalo collaborated on Dhludhlu’s new single, “Ngimtholile”.

This follows the success of his 2020 breakout hit single, “uHambe”, featuring Duncan.

It found its way onto radio and TV, and reached a peak at #4 on Apple Music upon its release. This allowed this rising star an opportunity to display his potential to be one of the most notable artists of the year.

This talented R & B singer spent most of this year building a sound that would resonate with his fans, but also something that would showcase his range.

“Ngimtholile” comes just in time for the new season of the singing competition, allowing Dhludhlu to lead the new contestants into another powerful season. The collaboration between him and Khumalo comes as no surprise to fans, as the two announced they were in a relationship at the end of their time on Idols. They had been seen on social media spending time together in the studio recording music, while preparing for their upcoming solo albums.

“Ngimtholile” is a fusion of Afro-pop and R & B, with lingering feelings of neo-soul, allowing the pair to tell a beautiful love story that expresses the joy of finding a new love. The song went live recently and was co-written by legendary music mogul Oskido and rising star Aubrey Qwana.
