The delegation visited Hlogotlou Stadium in Monsterlus and Tafelkop Stadium as part of government’s efforts to assist Sekhukhune United FC to relocate and play their PSL home games in the district.
Babina Noko’s followers have raised questions about why the club has opted to play their home matches in Gauteng instead of their “home province”.
A multi-sectoral task team of officials from the provincial government, local government, South African Football Association and Sekhukhune United FC has been put in place to work on this project.
The task team has been instructed to put together an assessment report within coming weeks and a decision will be taken toward ensuring that one of the stadia is given a facelift that will enable it comply with PSL standards.
