Full-Service able to achieve greatness

The provincial Department of Education voiced its satisfaction about the manner Bukhosibetfu Full-Service School is taking care of its learners, especially those living with disabilities.

During his visit to this school situated in Driekoppies, MEC Bonakele Majuba said he was over the moon by how the school was being run.

“We are truly grateful to the school management, parents and the teachers for the able manner in which they are managing the school. This is encouraging and I wish to take this opportunity to extend my sincere appreciation,” said Majuba.

He further encouraged parents and local communities to enrol their children in this school.

“We want to further make a clarion call to parents throughout the province to register their children with special education needs at schools, and to not keep them hidden. The department will continue to support these schools to improve their conditions. What is of great significance is that Bukhosibetfu will for the first time in 2022 present a grade 12 class for deaf learners. We are proud of this milestone, because it is in keeping with the imperatives of the Inclusive Education Framework.”

Majuba is on a provincial drive to monitor whether schools continue to observe Covid-19 regulations, and to gauge if teaching and learning continue without any challenges.
