Man accused of killing his wife appears in Mpumalanga High Court
The deceased's family said they want justice for their loved one.

A man accused of killing his wife appeared in the Mpumalanga High Court on Monday October 4. It is alleged that Mugiyo Mabunda shot and killed Tebogo Mabunda outside their home last year in May. When the suspect appeared in court, Tebogo’s family members and friends were picketing outside.
According to the victim’s sister, Kgopotso Matuwe, on the day her sister was shot, they received a phone call from her 14-year-old son informing them of what had transpired.
“My sister’s eldest son called us and said, ‘Daddy is killing mommy.’ That is when we rushed to the scene and found her dead. We do not understand what led to him shooting her,” she said.
Monica Nyuswa, the spokesperson for the NPA, confirmed the case and said the trial was postponed to Wednesday.
