Mpumalanga ANC stalwart to spend weekend behind bars

The court’s decision has angered many of Msibi’s supporters who have been standing behind him from day one.

The court’s decision has angered many of Msibi’s supporters who have been standing behind him from day one.

The former provincial MEC for agriculture, Mandla Msibi, will know the outcome of his bail application on Tuesday October 19.

The Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court reserved judgement on Msibi’s bail application, and adjourned until Tuesday.

This means that the ANC heavyweight will have to spend a weekend in the cells. Msibi is accused of murder and one count of attempted murder, along with four other suspects.

Two of these are already out on bail of R20 000 each.

The court’s decision has angered many of Msibi’s supporters who have been standing behind him from day one of his court appearances.

Some of them have even been camping outside the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court since Tuesday.
