#IMadeMyMark: PHOTOS: Voters queue at Matsafeni’s voting station for 2021 municipal elections

Community members went out in their numbers to vote.

The 2021 municipal elections are under way, and people from all walks of life reported to various voting stations.

Mpumalanga News visited the Matsafeni voting station at John Mdluli Primary School on Monday morning, November 1.

During the visit, all systems were in order and the voting process was running smoothly.

President Cyril Ramaphosa has declared November 1 as a public holiday throughout the country in terms of Section 2A of the Public Holidays Act of 1994.

Registered voters took this opportunity to exercise their democratic right to elect new leadership.

Diana and Monday Phiri were among the voters. Diana said she saw it fit to cast her vote regardless of all the grievances that people raise. “I have heard people complain about various things, but at the end I made a choice that I will continue to vote.”
