Mshengu’s co-accused appear in the high court

The co-accused of Sydney Petrus Mabuza, who was known as Mshengu and Mr Big, appeared in the Mpumalanga High Court on poaching-related offences on Monday November 8.

MBOMBELA – The provincial NPA spokesperson, Monica Nyuswa, said during their appearance the charges against Mabuza were formally withdrawn.

“The state will proceed with the case with the co-accused, Claude Lubisi (32), Clyde Mnisi Mshengu’s co-accused appear in the high court  (33), Joseph Nyalungu (54), Aretha Mhlanga (40) and Rachel Qwebane (33).

“This is in connection with the crimes that were committed from January to May 2017 near Stolzneck Section in the Kruger National Park. “On Monday, the state served the defence with the indictment and postponed the matter to April 20, 2022, for pretrial conference,” she explained. Mabuza was shot and killed in broad daylight in Hazyview on June 17 while sitting in his vehicle.
