She’s on a mission to bring about change

She has always dreamed of becoming the first woman in Mpumalanga to own a chain of reputable fitness studios.

Growing up playing house and dolls in the dusty streets of Mganduzweni outside White River, a fitness guru, has always had a passion to start her own fitness studio. She has always dreamed of becoming the first woman in Mpumalanga to own a chain of reputable fitness studios.

Fast forward to the present, Mashigo, proud owner of Livic Fitness, is finally living her dream and through her company, conduct online lessons. She said she is all about promoting fitness and healthy living. “Over the past year, we have seen the devastating effects the pandemic has had on our communities, especially when it comes to people’s health. I have since taken a decision to play my part and promote fitness and healthy living. Now more than ever, I am dedicated to using my knowledge, and training to help people adopt a healthier lifestyle,” she said.

The 29-year-old has fitness in her genes, and is making health and fitness her priority. With her knowledge and love for an active and healthy lifestyle, Mashigo continues to inspire the masses and wants to reach numerous followers. Mashigo teaches the value of taking care of your health through exercise and nutrition. She has found great success during the Covid-19 pandemic, leading home workouts from the comfort of her home or wherever she finds herself at.

With many women who prefer to be trained by female fitness instructors, Mashigo becomes a quick reference, since she is one of the few instructors in Mpumalanga.

” I want to make healthy living fashionable, especially among young women. My current job objectives are to enhance people’s health and well-being, collaborating fitness with socioeconomic issues affecting our communities at large; to bring awareness and to educate our community members about the importance of living a healthy lifestyle and to continue to host my social and educational Voices of Reason events,” she continued.

” I am determined to walk the extra mile to change the lives of other people. Through Livic Fitness, I believe I will be able to change many lives, many souls, educate individuals about the issues affecting our community on a daily basis,” she added. Mashigo also runs a human trafficking and gender-based violence awareness campaign.
