K9 Unit assists in search for Masoyi woman

The 58-year-old woman has been missing since May 29.

The police and community members were out on the streets of Mganduzweni and other areas in Masoyi on Saturday June 18, searching for Lera Mbuyane who has been missing for more than three weeks.

Members of the SAPS K9 Unit were present, along with a chopper, to assist in searching for the woman.

Mbuyane’s daughter Doliwe Ntibane told Mpumalanga News previously that her mother was last seen by her partner, who was sleeping next to her, before she disappeared in the early hours of Sunday May 29.

Masoyi police spokesperson Capt Nanikie Mbuyane said, “We have not found any leads since she was reported missing. We are hopeful that we will find a lead as soon as possible”.
