Nsikazi’s first-ever vintage fair takes place this weekend

This exciting fair is hosted by the group of vintage fashion lovers called Vintage Africa.

The #EasyComeVintageChallenge is a fashion fair that will take place for the first time ever on Saturday July 30.
The seven youngsters who called themselves Vintage Africa, are inviting everyone who loves vintage fashion to attend this social event at Easy Come Corner in Mshadza.

One of the founders of the group, Given Mayisana, known as Skyy Givenchy, said the idea had started as a trend on social media as people posted pictures of themselves dressed in vintage clothing under the #VintageChallenge.

“I am a clothing model and I love vintage fashion, and formed a group with individuals who also love the fashion. We decided to localise the hashtag and host such an event to create awareness of our fashion sense, because we still get people who laugh at us for wearing old clothes or unstylish labels,” he said.

He said the aim was to create a space for youngsters to socialise. The theme for event is the 80s. The event will start at 14:00.
“We urge all patrons to come dressed in chequered and floral outfits with berets, figure belts and more. Entrance is free and there will be photography services available,” Masiyana said.
