Hazyview school declared as a state-of-the-art school

The official handover of Shabalala Secondary School took place today.

The Mpumalanga MEC for education, Bonakele Majuba, the Department of Public Works, Roads and Transport and the City of Mbombela deemed the Shabalala Secondary in Hazyview as a state-of-the-art school.

An official handover to the White Hazy Circuit took place today. It is one of the recently completed schools that currently accommodates 1 205 learners from grades eight to 11 and has 36 teachers. It consists of 26 classrooms, an admin block, reception area, school hall, media centre, toilets, a science laboratory and a library.

The improvement of school infrastructure intends to eliminate overcrowding and to create a favourable environment to enhance teaching and learning as well as to improve the performance of learners.
