Emer-G-Med paramedics responded to the scene of a shooting incident at a popular restaurant in White River tonight, March 25.

According to the emergency personnel, upon their arrival, a male, estimated to be about 50, was discovered to have sustained fatal gunshot wounds and was declared dead at about 20:00.

Reports from the scene claim that two men had been engaged in a heated argument when one of them drew a firearm and shot and killed the other.

The White River SAPS is currently on the scene and is conducting an investigation. The police said they will only comment after it has been concluded.
