Premier celebrates Christmas Day births in Mpumalanga

A Christmas to remember! Premier Mandla Ndlovu visits Witbank Hospital to welcome Christmas Day babies.

Mpumalanga Premier Mandla Ndlovu visited Witbank Hospital on Christmas Day to hand over gifts to mothers of babies born on this special day.

Four babies were delivered at the hospital on Christmas Day. The premier was accompanied by the MEC for health, Sasekani Manzini, several councillors, and the head of the Department of Health, Dr Lucas Ndlovu.

Across the province, a total of 33 babies were recorded as having been born between midnight and 06:00 on Christmas Day, across all three districts. The first baby was delivered at Tonga Hospital.

Premier Ndlovu congratulated the mothers on the successful deliveries and reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting them and ensuring the well-being of both mothers and their newborns.
