SPONSORED | November is National Responsible Gambling Awareness Month
You don’t have to face it alone, reach out today.

Hello, Mpumalanga. This is Bajabulise Thela, Miss Mpumalanga 2024, and a proud ambassador for the Mpumalanga Economic Regulator (MER).
November is the month aimed at making people aware that, as much as gambling can be a fun activity, it has to be done responsibly.
It is, therefore, dubbed Responsible Gambling Awareness Month.
We, therefore, focus on raising awareness about the importance of responsible gambling. It is crucial for any gambler to set limits both in time and money. Gamblers know when to stop.
You must not gamble with the intention to run away from problems and other challenges. When you know someone who is struggling with gambling, support is available.
You don’t have to face it alone; reach out today, call the National Responsible Gambling Programme’s free counselling line on 0800 006 008 for guidance and support, or connect via WhatsApp on 076 675 0710. Let’s work together to keep gambling safe and responsible.
Contact the MER about the self-exclusion programme which allows individuals at risk to voluntarily take a break from gambling, offers structured support to help them regain control and maintain responsible gambling habits.
This message is brought to you by the Mpumalanga Economic Regulator.
