Vintage limousine catches fire in White River
The driver sustained some injuries and was transported to the hospital for further medical attention.

A vintage Mercedes-Benz limousine caught fire on Nahemi Road in White River earlier this afternoon, March 23.
The owner, Shaun McBride, said his partner was driving the car without any passengers.
“She was going to get some things from the shop and the transmission area caught fire. She tried to apply the brakes, but they didn’t work. I don’t know if the fire had already spread to the wires. The car reversed and as she tried to control it, it overturned as it’s a long car,” he explained.

He said she managed to get out of the car after it overturned, just before the fire overtook the whole vehicle. She sustained some injuries. “As far as I know, it’s her neck. I think her wrist could be broken. She also complained about her leg. She was taken to the hospital for further medical attention.”
The fire department attended the scene to extinguish the fire.
The road was partially closed for recovery of the scene.
