Missing teenage girl from Pienaar found dead
The Mpumalanga police are investigating a case of culpable homicide after Boitumelo Madonsela, a missing 15-year-old, was found dead on the R40.
Boitumelo Madonsela, a 15-year-old girl who went missing on Saturday, October 4, was discovered deceased on the R40 near Riverside Mall later that same day.
She was confirmed dead after her family had reported her missing on social media, seeking assistance from the public.
According to the Mpumalanga police spokesperson, Sergeant Thulisile Magagula, the police attended the accident on Saturday.

She said the police have opened a case of culpable homicide, but no one has been arrested so far.
“The investigation is ongoing. Reports indicate that she left home around 15:00. She was found dead after she was hit by a vehicle,” Magagula said.
In a Facebook post, the family said that Boitumelo was last seen in Pienaar, near Global Garage and that she was on her way to a farmers market in Mbombela. The teenager was a Grade 10 learner from Portia Shabangu Secondary School in Tekwane.
Mpumalanga News contacted the family and they confirmed that it is their daughter, however, they did not have any information regarding the case.
Portia Shabangu Secondary issued a statement, sending their condolences to Boitumelo’s family and fellow learners.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of one of our Grade 10 learners. In keeping with our school’s tradition of expressing condolences, we ask each learner to contribute R10 to assist the family of their late schoolmate.”
